Liverpool Associates in Tropical Health
The provision of technical assistance is a major component of LSTM's mission of promoting the improved health of the poor and disadvantaged peoples. In addition, it provides important opportunities for the continuing professional development of staff; contributions to teaching and the School's research agenda; and financial support to the School.
Examples of technical assistance delivered by LSTM staff include: overseas assignments for donors, foreign governments; UK based desk-work, provision of advice, assistance with facilitating workshops, organising UK-based study tours, and teaching/training activities outside LSTM.
Prof Joseph Valadez is the Technical Assistance Co-ordinator at LSTM.
