Computer Clusters
The computer Laboratory (situated in the old building) is a central student facility housing eighteen workstations that have an extensive software portfolio and a selection of network printers, scanners and CD writers. Primarily for teaching, the Laboratory is also made available to students for private study. Students can also use any of the University of Liverpool PC centres.
There is also another computer cluster in the Ferguson Room in the main building. This room is open for 24 hour access to LSTM security card holders only. There are 8 computers in this cluster with a wide range of software.
Laptop Loan Scheme
The scheme in conjunction with the Donald Mason Library enables students to borrow laptops for a period of 3 hours for use within Donald Mason Library. The Laptops have a limited software portfolio preinstalled and have wireless Internet access although printing is NOT available on the laptops. They cannot be loaned overnight or removed from the building.
Wireless Access
The school has a number of wireless network access points (SuperRoamNet) which both staff and students can use to connect their personal laptop computers or personal digital assistants (PDA's) directly to the Internet, all that is required is your existing MWS logon details and of course, a laptop computer or PDA.
