LSTM Information Services (LSTM/IS) Mission Objectives
Mission Statement
The LSTM/IS teams strive to underpin the core teaching and research activities at LSTM by providing high quality, integrated and innovative services that complements the provision of support offered by the University of Liverpool (UoL) Computer and Library Services .
LSTM Information Services Goals
Information Services at LSTM comprises the Library and Computing teams.
Specifically, the teams’ goals are to:
- Enhance the Computer Services provided by UoL through local provision of support, teaching centres and other specialised services where this is required by the business needs of the LSTM;
- Assist Research and Teaching staff in making informed decisions about their information services requirements;
- Endeavour to collect, preserve & make accessible high quality resources and support to staff and students and to act as custodian for Archives and Special collections pertinent to the LSTM mission;
- Continuously evaluate and improve provision through internal communication with users and collaboration and liaison with other institutions as appropriate;
- Enhance the knowledge and skills of Library and Computing staff to enable them to provide the support needed.
