Library and Computing

The Library

The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine's library is as old as the institution itself. It had a modest beginning in 1898, and grew through the purchases of Ronald Ross. In December 1997, it was renamed "The Donald Mason Library", in honour of Donald David Mason, Chairman of the School 1988-1993.

Computing Services

Tropical Medicine Computing Services (TMCS) provide essential resources to all members of the school to support learning and teaching, research, and school administration. The main network service is provided by the University of Liverpool’s Managed Windows Service, however, the team provides specialist services including audio-visual services, public access workstation areas, web services, high-performance computing, data storage and backup. We provide and support the core administrative systems for the schools administration and offer desktop support to school staff as well as advice and help to all students and staff.

TMCS also runs data networks for the LSTM spin-out companies: Well Travelled Clinics Ltd. (WTC) and Liverpool Associates of Tropical Health (LATH)
