Technical Assistance

Liverpool Associates in Tropical Health

The provision of technical assistance is a major component of the School's mission of promoting the improved health of the poor and disadvantaged peoples. In addition, it provides important opportunities for the continuing professional development of staff; contributions to teaching and the School's research agenda; and financial support to the School.

Examples of technical assistance include: overseas assignments for donors, foreign governments; UK based desk-work, provision of advice, assistance with facilitating a workshop, organising a UK-based study tour, and teaching/training activities outside the School.

Prof Joseph Valadez is the Technical Assistance Co-ordinator at LSTM.

Technical assistance is managed by Liverpool Associates in Tropical Health (LATH), a limited company wholly owned by The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
